Characterized by asymmetrical weakness, often starting in distal arm muscles and without sensory loss.
Electrophysiologic changes of partial motor conduction blocks at multiple sites, seen in most, but not all patients.
CSF counts and proteins usually normal.
Does not respond to corticosteroids, but can improve with immune globulin or cyclophosphamide management.
