Approved for the treatment of thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic liver disease who are scheduled to undergo medical or dental procedures.
Trade name Mulpleta.
Most common adverse event is headache.
Dose is 3 mg orally once daily for seven days.
It is not indicated for general platelet normalization patients with chronic liver disease and thrombocytopenia.
