Most common between the middle and ring fingers but can also affect the toes.

Related to long-term exposure to liquids and skin irritants, as seen in bartenders, laundry workers, dishwashers, and homemakers.

Impaired skin integrity allows the growth of candida.

The presence of rings increase the retention of moisture in the finger web areas.

Can be seen in diabetics.

Exacerbation can occur with the use of corticosteroids.
