Dose dense

Density is the number of cells in a tissue divided by tissue volume.

As a tumor with a higher fractal mass dimension grows it maintains a high density with a rapid growth rate and larger final size than tissue with a lower fractal dimension.

Tumors with higher fractal dimensions have a higher rate of growth.

Breast cancer has a high fractal dimension about 2.98 with very dense tissue compared to normal breast of approximately 2.25.
