Topical 5-FU is used to treat pre-cancerous and cancerous skin growths.
It is an anti-metabolite, blocking the growth of abnormal cells that cause the skin condition.
The treated area may become unsightly during treatment and in some cases for several weeks after treatment.
Avoid application around the eyes or eyelids, inside the nose or mouth.

Carcinoma in situ of the glans penis
Basal cell carcinoma,
Actinic keratosis

As a topical ointment, a thin coating is applied to the affected skin lesions twice a day, treatment may continue over several weeks.
