Occur mainly in older men with significant cardiovascular disease and limited life expectancy.

Graft patency approximately 80% 5 years after elective repair.

Thrombosis is associated with leg loss in 30% of patients.

Rupture is rare and thrombosis, resulting in ischemic changes is of the most concern.

5-year survival about 60%.

Asymptomatic patients with aneurysms less than 3 cm in diameter can be monitored rather than be electively repaired.
