Eosinophilic neuron cytoplasmic inclusions with aggregates of normal and abnormal proteins.

Lewy bodies are intracytoplasmic inclusions containing alpha-synuclein.

Large aggregates of alpha-synuclein protein form Levy bodies.

Associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Alpha synuclein is involved in neurotransmission.

Alpha synuclein Is also found in the G.I. tract.

Levy bodies are deposited in dopamine producing neurons in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
