Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma

Refers to tumor cells that are generally large with moderate to abundant cytoplasm in rosettes, trabecular growth and peri-lobular palisading patterns, frequent and prominent nuclei with mitotic counts typically 11 or more per 2 mm of viable tumor.

Immuno histological markers are positive for chromogranin, synaptophysin, and NCAM (CD56).
