Isolated office hypertension

Also known as white coat hypertension, requires blood pressure measurement to be 140/90 mmHg while ambulatory blood pressure measurements remain normal.

Incidence between 12-50%.

Clinical significance not fully understood.

Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is the only method to identify white coat hypertension and nighttime hypertension simultaneously.
