Iron isomaltoside

A combination of iron and isomaltoside 1000, a chain of sugar molecules.

The type of iron is the same as f2242itin.

It is indicated in for the treatment of Iron deficiency anemia when oral iron perparations are ineffective or cannot be used.

The symptomatic adverse reactions: Difficulty to swallow, swollen face, tongue or pharynx, difficulty to swallow, hives and difficulties in breathing.

The risk of hypophosphatemia is lower with iron isomaltoside compared with f2242ic carbo the maltose.

Administered IV.

Parenteral administration of iron may cause severe and potentially lethal hypersensitivity reactions.
