Refers to te presence of an enlarged spleen with the development of thrombocytopenia, neutropenia and or anemia due to the enlargement of the spleen itself.
Relates to the sequestration of cell in the spleen and in many instances there is enhanced destructin of platelets, red blood cells and granulocytes.
