Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis is a slowly progressive parenchymal lung disease caused by inhalation and deposition of coal mine dust in the lungs.

Incidence and rate of disease progression related to amount of coal dust to which individuals are exposed during their work time.

Early, the disease is asymptomatic, and advanced disease may be associated with disability and premature death.
