Bydureon is an extended-release form of exenatide, used to treat type 2 diabetes.
Should not be used Bydureon with a personal or family history of thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
Not used to treat type 1 diabetes.
May be associated with pancreatitis.
An extended-release form of exenatide administered as an injection once every seven days.
Common Bydureon side effects include:mupset stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, headache, weight loss, itching or a hard lump where the medicine was injected.
