Vesiculopustular rashes may be caused by infectious or non-infectious etiologies.
Non infectious causes:Auto immune disorders, including sarcoid, porhyruria, leukemia cutis, or other hematologic cancers, drug reactions, neutrophilic dermatoses, vesicular pityriasis, rosacea, and eczema vaccinatum.
Infectious causes: viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasitic infestation.
Viral causes include infection with herpes viruses, varicella-zoster virus, pox viruses, parvovirus, enterovirus, measles virus, HIV.
Bacterial causes include Staph aureus associated, pseudomonas folliculitis, rickettsial, infection, non Tuberculosis mycobacteria infection, syphillis, and scrub typhus.
Fungal causes include Cryptococcus, histoplasmosis, taleromycosis.
