Cow’s milk

Cow’s milk is a nutrient-dense fluid derived from dairy cows, primarily consumed for its rich composition of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.

Cow’s milk is a significant source of high-quality proteins, including caseins and whey proteins, which are essential for growth and development.

The primary proteins in  cow’s milk include αs1-, αs2-, β-, and κ-casein, as well as β-lactoglobulin and α-lactalbumin.

It has high-quality protein containing all essential amino acids (roughly 8g per cup)

It is an excellent source of calcium for bone health (approximately 300mg per cup)

Milk is rich in B vitamins, particularly B12 and riboflavin, and a Good source of potassium, phosphorus, and iodine.

Cow’s milk contains vitamins A and D (often fortified).
