Conjugated estrogens/medroxyprogesterone acetate, marketed under the brand names Prempro and Premphase, is used for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor
symptoms due to menopause, treatment of moderate to
severe vulvar and vaginal atrophy due to menopause and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Prempro is administered as one tablet daily, while Premphase involves a regimen of one maroon tablet daily for the first 14 days, followed by one light-blue tablet daily for the next 14 days.
