A biologic rheumatoid arthritis (RA) medication for adults with moderately to severely active RA.
Reduces RA inflammation.
Also approved for Crohn’s disease.
Targets TNF-alpha.
In clinical trials provides noticeable RA symptom relief within 24 weeks for the majority of patients and as fast as 1-2 weeks for some patients.
The recommended dose for adults with RA is 400 mg (given as 2 shots that are 200 mg each) initially and at Week 2 and Week 4.
After the first 3 doses, taken as one 200 mg shot every 2 weeks or two 200 mg shots every 4 weeks.
